Trip to Germany
1st - 9th December

On the 1st of december, we flew to Berlin. We took the opportunity to visit this city, full of historical landmarks which may help us understand the History of the European Union.

After we put our luggage in the youth hostel, we went for a walk around the town and enjoyed free time in the many Christmas market of the city! Then, in the evening, we visited the Bundestag.

We were soooo tired at the end of the day!

On the second of December, we visited different places in Berlin : we saw the remains of the Berlin wall . . .

. . . and finally we enjoyed ourselves in the spy museum!

. . .we walked through the Brandenburg Gate and reflected in the Memorial to the Murdered Jews in Europe. . .

On the 3rd of December, we went to Checkpoint Charlie, before catching the train to Brunswick, where we met our partners. The mobility could officially start!

On the 4th of December, in the morning, our partners officially greeted us in the scool located in Schwülper. We were told about the week's activities and the groups.

In the afternoon, we visited Brunswick thanks to the app "Actionbound"

In the evening, we enjoyed Brunswick Chistmas market.

On the 5th of December, we worked at school on the 17 SDGs : the Sustainable Development Goals. As we are deeply impacted by the lack of water, the French delegation chose to work on : Goal 6: Clean water and sanitation.

We proposed a game : a quiz, each student had to move toward the correct answer! We all enjoyed it!

Then we worked in international group on some SDGs.

On the 6th of December, we went to Goslar : we visited the ancient Rammelsberg mine (cooper, lead and tin) : It is a major site for mining innovation in the western world, as it developped water power.
